Checks if the character is alphabetic
| Call | |
| #include <vv_sys.h> | |
| int ch_isalpha(ch) | |
|
UCHAR ch |
Character to be checked |
| Returns | |
| 1 | The character is alphabetic |
| 0 | The character is not alphabetic |
| Description
If the character code is less than 128, the standard C library function isalpha() is called to test the character. If the character code is greater than 128 and support for the extended character set is not enabled, the character is considered non-alphabetic. If support for the extended character set is enabled (vv_extch.h is #included), the appropriate entry in the table _chsettbl[] is checked to determine if the character is alphabetic. |
|
| Cautions
If the extended character set support is disabled (the default), all characters above 127 are considered non-alphabetic. |
