About Data Form Options

You can configure the data entry system at three levels: the field level, the form level, and the environment level. Settings at the field level affect only the field that they are set for. Settings at the form level affect only the form that they are set for. Settings at the environment level globally affect all data forms in your application.

All options are initially set to defaults by the system. You can change the defaults for any form at any point in your program. In some cases, you can also change the defaults used by the system.

This chapter describes how to control form level and environment level settings for the data entry system. See Chapter 9, "Data Field Processing Options," for information on how to control field level settings.
