This chapter presents guidelines for writing your own event functions to install in the Vermont Views event tables. Suggestions are provided for how to use the data passed to the event function. Before writing event functions you should be familiar with the system that you are writing functions for.
Additionally, the building block functions for writing event functions for data forms, scrollable regions, memo fields, tickertape memo fields, and menus are discussed in Chapter 34, "Getting and Updating Data in the Form."
