Controlling Echoing to the Video Screen

For windows that are displayed on the video screen, the default is to automatically echo window output from the memory screen to the video screen. You can turn off window echoing. If you turn off the echo option when writing to a window, the characters will be saved in the window buffer, but will not appear on the physical screen. To see the contents of the buffer in the window when WNECHO is turned off, your application must force a refresh or update the window display itself.
