The default settings for virtual windows provide for automatic tracking. When tracking is ON and output is written to a virtual window, the window automatically moves over the memory screen to keep the virtual cursor visible in the window. This happens whether or not the window is displayed on the video screen.
Tracking does not occur if you explicitly move the virtual cursor to a different position in the memory screen. You must adjust the position of the window yourself.
The number of rows and columns that the virtual window moves during tracking depends on the horizontal and vertical scrolling quantities in the window structure. The default is for the window to move over one column or one row when the virtual cursor moves out of the window. You can change the default values.
