In normal operation, Vermont Views directly writes all screen output to the computer's video buffer, providing rapid screen updating. Under Microsoft Windows, all screen output is directed to the individual video buffer assigned by Microsoft Windows. Window output functions call the Microsoft Windows Update Video Display function to transfer this information to the screen when a program is operating in the foreground mode.
Vermont Views adjusts to operation under Microsoft Windows automatically. No special coding is required. You can write your programs just as you would for operation under DOS. All of the screen-handling requirements of Microsoft Windows will be taken care of by Vermont Views. Vermont Views functions automatically update the video display when in the Microsoft Windows environment.
