The IBM Monochrome Display Adapter (MDA) has three "base" attribute states: normal, reverse, and underline. The following values are #defined for these attributes: NORMAL, REVERSE, and UNDERLINE. You can modify these base states by combining them with the values #defined for HIGH_INT (high intensity) and/or BLINK.
Some examples of valid definitions for monochrome physical attributes follow:
| UNDERLINE NORMAL | BLINK REVERSE | HIGH_INT REVERSE | HIGH_INT | BLINK |
