A tutorial is provided that shows how to add the field type F_HEX for hexadecimal numeric entry. A new picture control character "H" is created to allow the entry of characters used when expressing a number in base 16. You should read the comments in hexfield.c and fld_type.c to learn what files are involved and what functions and information they contain.
